Let's Go Bargain Hunting
Horsham YMCA was proudly represented on BBC1s Bargain Hunt daytime show in September by one of our very own Housing Support Team! David from the Housing Team took part in the show with his wife Shelley, and a collection of their puppets. "Pierre" was the star of the show, introducing the program and also ending up on the title sequence for the entire series! "Pierre" was made by hand especially for the show by David (in between shifts).
Wearing the traditional YMCA red David and Shelley were guided by expert Mark Stacey. They bought a leather covered letter box, a silver plated tantalus and a pair of bronze novelty nut crackers. At auction Tim Wonnacott accompanied the team as they picked up their £45 overall profit. The Blue team meanwhile suffered the blues making a loss overall.
