Community

Horsham YMCA started its community development work in 2005. The project concentrated on a housing estate and involved engagement with young and old in the area.

The work is now focussed on primary school children and their families. Breakfast and After School clubs are operated by the Horsham YMCA Community Development Team. On average 40 children per day benefit from a safe place to go before and after school, have a good breakfast or evening meal and engage in purposeful activities with other children in a supervised environment.

The project provides opportunities for volunteers to work with the children. All our work is subject to scrutiny from Ofsted and CRB control.

Similar projects are being developed in other schools in the Horsham District.
